Open tryouts for LA Galaxy
If anyone feels like they can make it in the MLS they now have a shot with the LA Galaxy, who are holding open tryouts. Of course everyone knows by now that they signed David Beckham to a ridiculously huge contract last week. I guess their intent is that they will surround Beckham with a bunch of high schoolers who they can pay 100 dollars a game. The fans will still flock to the stadium however, so they can catch a glimpse of David Beckham’s wife.

Of all those people trying out, maybe (maybe!) one will be offered some sort of contract. LA already has a ton of established professional players to surround Beckham with already. Landon Donovan being the most notable. It’s actually going to be fun to watch them play. Beckham crossing it in to Donovan and the talented Nate Jaqua. Now that’s good news for MLS.
And for those who maybe don’t know the ins and outs of that crazy contract…the majority of that $250 Million is in endorsements and naming rights. The league and LA are only paying a small percentage. The rest is actually corporate. Crazy. This link explains the details:

haha heck yeah! Actually i got that link from someone in that group who emailed it out to everyone suggesting that they try out. Hey but this year we can go see them play when they come to SAS and play the railhawks. We’ll need to make it out there for a game!
